There are two animals in this picture.

At first glance this looks like a smiling dog on its back with crazy eyes.

A closer look shows the eyes belong to a cat, also on its back, with its head snuggled close enough they read visually as a single entity.

This photo is not mine, and was found uncredited online - if you know the original source I’m happy to give credit.
