February in Edmonton! When the sun stays in the sky longer, but the snow & ice still stick around — and there's lots to do indoors & out.
And hey, we're less than a week in & I've got a calendar thread for you all! Which is important because there are lots of excellent concerts, plus theatre & festivals, all starting this weekend!#YEG Festivals & Special Events:
Still on: Winter City Weekends at the City Hall rink. "Ice Grooves" has DJs planning Fri & Sat evenings, while "Swing & Skate" on Sunday afternoons has live bands playing inside City Hall (dancing encouraged), with the audio piped outside to the skaters.
Back on after melt-related closure (unless it's melted again...): Ice Castles at Fan Park downtown. $15-24 (+fees).
Feb 7&8: Togather Chinatown Arts Festival at Pacific Mall (105 Ave @ 97 St), with a vendor's market and live performances.
