Because it it bottled "as it comes from the spring", that not always is a guarantee (but it is a good commercial slogan).

Absolutely—Most bottled water come from municipal sources, and not filtered enough to remove microplastics or nanoplastics, and those that are truly from springs, well those springs indeed could be contaminated.
