This is a kinda Other Networks moment for @loriemerson@post.lurk.org : mom remembering how she'd pick up the phone at her grandparents, crank the bell, and tell the operator "I want to talk to Aunt Hazel" and the operator would say "ok honey" and make it happen, because she knew who Aunt Hazel was and what her extension was.
