In the 1990s, I had to spend a full month in a Minneapolis hospital for spinal surgery. I already had plenty of hospital trauma under my belt, and this would be more on the pile. But the nurses and hospital staff from this city helped me feel safe; they were friendly, patient, and kind. Fuck ICE.
