The money side of the machine is built to be always moving. It doesn't handle shocks and disruptions well. The private sector has been playing politics at your expense, and has gifted you with a brutal fascist regime lead by an unhinged assclown Nazi (this is Stephen Miller) and a rapidly aging cult messiah figure for fascists. None of them are particularly innocent, at least at the corporate level. You can get to Trump, by hurting them, and they are indeed responsible for this.

And the thing about General Strikes, and organizing, is that you can go national, or you can roll them; spread the pain out, to make it easier for everyday people to participate longer. I don't know that these capitalists, of this generation, are ready for the people to turn on them like this - they think you're stupid, and addicted to your lifestyle, atomized enough that this can't happen. So they never prepared for it.

And like, I get that you have doubts about how far this can go, how much it can actually accomplish. But what I'm going to ask you to do is think back at how many times Trump has backed down, or chickened out, and who it was that pressured him EFFECTIVELY to do so? It sure as shit ain't pinko dissidents like me. Nor is it the Democratic Party. But when he started fucking the CEOs, the phonecalls came in right? And he chickens out.

You are weaponizing the machine against itself. It's good.

Also, a general strike and "shutting it down" are not either or choices. You can do both at the same time if you want them fuckers to scream like they're dying.

So this is a strategy that can take you a very long distance towards the kind of society you want, rather than the kind of society capitalists and their nazi thugs are insisting you take.

Not all the way - we will have to seize their stolen blood money to get where I feel like we, as a species, are heading. But a very long way.
