@daringfireball@mastodon.social Anecdotally, my parents are holding off on upgrading their devices to 26 because they donβt like how it looks and how much laggier it is.
@Gargron@mastodon.social @daringfireball@mastodon.social same here. Must say the way Apple is pressuring to update is insane. I was on iOS 17 a year ago with little grief to update but this time round, even myself, Iβm having to be super careful what I press. Constant notifications on daily basis to update as well. One fam iPad has updated that they didnβt want to. Best of all is this patch, which Apple imo has intentionally avoided providing to iOS 26 supported iPhones - https://mastodon.world/@InterfaceEngineer/115758895296679016
@Gargron@mastodon.social @daringfireball@mastodon.social my wife regrets updating her phone. She said it looks awful.
Luckily I am using an Android device since December. Guess I dodged this one.
@Gargron@mastodon.social @daringfireball@mastodon.social Three of my four kids have upgraded to 26 and they hate it. Laggy and goes through a battery way faster than 18. So now they all want new iPhones....
