It's not the first winter,🌧

but it's the heaviest on the heart,the harshest on the bone
Not because the cold is more intense
but because this time we have no walls to shelter us
no hearths to soothe our hearts,
and no night passes without the weight of fear.

The frost isn't just in the air 🥶
It's in the tents
in the trembling hands🧤,and in waiting for morning as if it were salvation.
This winter isn't measured by temperature,but by the measure of endurance that has been drained from us
