Big problem here! I need the Fediverse shared knowledge 🙏🙏
Today I was willing to test my
#Amiga game on #Amiberry emulating a plain A1200 + 2Mb Fast, but something odd appened.
I noticed the problem because mods playback was stuttering, then I noticed the FPS counter that was on 50 mostly but with frequent drops around 40.
The emulated CPU is busy at 20%, the host CPU is busy at 40%.
I thought it was because I'm on Wayland so I tried the SDL_VIDEODRIVER trick but had no luck.
-> continue...

Some specs:
- I run Amiberry via Flatpak
- Manjaro Linux (Wayland)
- Plasma 6.5.4
- Kernel 6.12 (tried 6.6 with no luck)
- Intel i5-3470T
- Intel GPU

Should I try to compile it from the source?
Boost please

- I've also tried #FSUAE and it seems to run with a steady frame rate... 🤔🤔
- Tried to rollback to previous Amiberry version: same problem.

Latest update for tonight: I tried WinUAE under wine, but some frame drops as Amiberry 😭😭

I'm on track to dig and find the root of my problem with Amiberry:
- Tested on my Notebook with Manjaro + Plasma 6.5.4 + Wayland
🤔🤔 Steady 50 FPS! 🤔🤔

That's really odd... Almost same system with sligthly different CPU & Memory... there is something in my Mini-PC that interfere but I don't know what to check.

- Seems something related to the audio, if I enable "Automatic Switching " flag in the Amiberry's GUI, sound section, the problem is reduced (but still there).

I'll stop here for now, if someone knows how to fix this problem to have steady FPS please drop me a message
🙏🙏

BTW I've also fixed a slowdown in rooms with many background animations and enemies
😁😁
