NASA’s IMAP (Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe) reached its destination and entered into a halo orbit around the Sun-Earth Lagrange L1 point, 1.5 million km from earth.

Two other accompanying spacecraft, all launched on Sept. 24, 2025, also reached L1 - the Carruthers Geocorona Observatory and the NOAA SWFO-L1 (Space Weather Follow On-Lagrange 1).

At least 5 other Sun and space-weather observation spacecraft orbit around L1.
