You say "think of the children" because of porn, predators, drugs and political subversives. And vote for State surveillance and censorship, plus draconian punishments for anyone stepping out of line.
I say "mind your children" because of mainstream media, new media, hate, fascism, conspiracy theories, scams, gambling and mindrot in general. And all I ask of parents is to sit down with their kids, pay attention, learn and mostly leave them to become themselves.
It's not that we're not the same, we don't even live in the same planet. (Which, by the way, is rapidly losing its habitability for our species. Make of that what you will.)
