This morning we woke up to rain, strong winds, and freezing cold.
We live in worn-out tents that can’t protect us from anything.
The rain comes in, the wind shakes everything, and the cold reaches our bones.
Because of the extreme cold, we were forced to light a harmful fire inside the tent just to stay alive — even though the smoke hurts our lungs and our eyes.
We know it’s dangerous, but the cold is more dangerous.
We are not asking for comfort.
We are asking to survive
