Actually, this is a larger conversation we need to be having because we're at war as well.

The propaganda for a war, is very bad, very obtuse, very not believable because, and this is important - they need to convince the people who are not paying attention, and do not WANT to pay attention, that what we're doing is fine.

But they change the story over time. The crude propaganda we start with, is not the slick propaganda we end with.

You will need to be an archivist.

Save all the stories where the media actually told you the truth - and don't just save the links because THEY CHANGE THE FUCKING STORIES AFTER THE FACT MATE. No really. Archive them on the internet (not wayback, use a foreign company) and save the ARCHIVED links to the ORIGINAL stories.

Start now. It's important.

The biggest fucking mistake I made during Iraq, was not saving the newspaper clippings and recording the speeches/press conferences. Save it all. It will matter some day - I hope soon, but regardless, it will matter some day.
