The US wasn't all about cheap thrills, junk food, huge cars, "smart" devices which spy on you, heavy-handed diplomacy and military conquest.
They used to fund science, culture, quality journalism, libraries, universities... vital parts that are blinking out of existence, one by one.
This won't end well for anyone, anywhere.
