I mean the strategy is so obvious when you look at the numbers - you have to drive a wedge between the nazi cult of personality (the people who say things like "Jesus sent Trump to bring the end times and I LOVE that" or "why yes I'd be fine if Trump raped my daughter because we're frying bigger fish here") and folks who don't mind all that shit but don't want to be called a peodphile nazi at public social events.
You rip away the latter, and he does not have a ruling coalition.

And I don't think you tear those people away by appeasing them; I think you tear them away by making them defend what he's doing in the starkest language possible. The dude is absolutely a pedophile rapist. He's absolutely a corrupt assclown who is literally obsessed with covering everything in gold and putting his name on shit he didn't build. You just have to know what embarrasses them, hurts their twisted aggrandized self image, and unfortunately "rounding up brown people" doesn't.
