Yannow there are a LOT of things that are more fun than cleaning off gasket material on engine parts. What I want to do is stick this in the mill and take off 0.1mm.

Well this is better. There were some really deep scratches because a previous owner didn't know to not use steel blades on aluminum. I used grinding compound on glass to get this cleaner and flat. It still has some divots.
