Was grocery shopping at a Turkish market just now and the person infront of me had to put back half their groceries cause they only had 42€ on them and the stuff they putting back were like eggplants and rice and super basic important things. I put all the stuff on my side and told them to have a good new year, it was only like 10€ of stuff but they seemed so so happy. Someone stopped me on the way out of the store and said "you are such a nice person!" as they walked away. This should most definitely be the standard behavior when someone is putting back groceries it's sort of depressing that anyone would even see this as nice behavior.
