The maintainer of icecat was diagnosed with lung cancer. Icecat is a really cool browser project that really cares about protecting privacy and giving back control to the users. It served as an inspiration for me and many other people <3

I was recently diagnosed with NSCLC Stage 3C, it feels like a nightmare but unfortunately it is not. For this reason I won't be able to keep working on Icecat or the website. Not sure what to do with it... If someone has some ideas please come forward. If you want to help out here is the link. Also thank you all for the many kind messages, I started with Immuno-Chemo therapy and I'm feeling bit better and having a better mood. Thank you!!

@gianmarcogg03@mastodon.uno hmmm now that you mention it, I had this on my bookmarks for a very long time, didn't know it was unofficial, normally I only save official links to stuff... I tried looking up the name of the maintainer online but as it often happens with open source not everyone uses their real name when they contribute to a repo, so I'm not sure if this is the actual developer, I will do some research.
