who is trained to be tough about photos. But that's precisely why I know what consuming too much violence and brutality in images can do to even stable people. And at some point, the effect of provoking outrage or activism wears off. Readers become numbed.

The person who posted it achieved nothing except a few helplessly cynical comments. With CW, I would have been prepared to deal with it appropriately (but not during breakfast). And others, too.
