Yes, I know some of you are against political violence no matter what. But killing Franco's prime minister--and appointed successor as caudillo--critically weakened the fascist, genocidal regime and made sure it would fall, as it did shortly after Franco's death.
Spain has been far from perfect either politically or socially from 1977 to this day, but worse alternate histories are easily conceivable and you wouldn't want to live in them, believe me.
By the way: the only legitimate flag of Spain is the Republican one. May the morao bug the monarchists until the last one of them is exiled or dead.
