They both suck actually. The Sansa Clip's memory internal memory always shits itself. And those damn iPods keep having failing hard drives and are really annoying to open.

I have a Tangara now and life couldn't be better.

@SuperDicq@minidisc.tokyo @gianmarcogg03@mastodon.uno there's a ton of solutions for iPods to not use the hard drive and replace it with SD/CF/M.2 (last one is not really recommended)
idk if there's anything for Sansa Clip but you put Rockbox on the SD itself and that reduces the usage of flash

SD cards are relatively cheap. Why pay more for less storage less and buy expensive M.2 cards?

I was thinking of putting it in the iPod and using it also as a portable SSD, although the 30 pin USB interface would probably be a big bottleneck alongside the power draw and heat problems.
