Is a house really a home without some ants?

A very fine painted decorative "Mata Ortiz" vase made by Guadalupe Gallegos. It is very smooth and wide with a narrow opening at the top. The motif is ants on a red background. They also cluster enthusiastically around the white rim. On the bottom of the base is a larger ant, the queen. She has wings. This reminds me of my Dorymyrmex colony where the queen kept her wings for years.
