the ONE conspiracy theory i believe is the lead poisoning because of paint/petrol causing all those serial killers in the 1960s-1980s in the usa. don't ask me why i believe it so much.

@sdm@social.taker.fr AFAIK this isn't as much a conspiracy theory as a hypothesis about one of the potential factors in the increase in crime up to 80s and the sharp decline afterwards.
The Wikipedia page seems to confirm that our current understanding is that this was indeed one of the factors, very likely.
