I was at the bookstore until just a moment ago, thinking about starting to study for a certification.

Japan's national IT engineer certification, the "Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination," recently removed its practical coding test. Because of this, it's become common for people who are only good at memorizationโ€”and not naturally suited for engineeringโ€”to get it as an information literacy qualification.

Since my younger brother and my juniors want to get it too, I've found myself in a position where I have to study for it as well.

It's one thing to be "not good" at coding, but there are definitely people who just aren't cut out for it. I'm talking about people whose actions always contradict their wordsโ€”people who are, fundamentally, logical psychopaths.

I'd rather not work with them, so I don't have a very positive view of the recent trend that emphasizes "vibe coding."
