It was feeling darkish in here, so I turned on the single light, close to the window for a little SAD relief

It is usually off. Double in ceiling and double over sink is usually enough

6000K color temperature LED lights..

SAD fighters..

you can get em in 12v too..

lightbulbs and older fluorescents are ~3000K

"white" leds are about 4-5000K

6000K + mimics natural sunlight

yes that seems counter intuitive because the sun is yellow but actually reflection from the water vapor in the sky makes sunlight more blue than yellow. #weird_science #lighting_ppl_in_ film_know_this

watch films carefully and try to identify the color temps of the lights used in various kinds of scenes.
