A friend of mine is born in Quito, Ecuador.
Later she took a driving license in California, while visiting a sister.
Then she came here to visit another sister (a wide range family!), found the love and stopped here.
She had to do things at the hosptal, a secretary asked for her ID, and she gave her the Californian driving license.
The secretary look at it and say "California? Good, you are not a non-EU citizen"

@GustavinoBevilacqua@mastodon.cisti.org i have a danish driver's license, which italian police officers tell me is not valid identification when a police officer asks you for your ID (because you can't prove citizenship). quite annoying.
