I should have figured this out years ago.
Here's a little jig I 3d printed for holding wooden buttons off the lathe to get their holes drilled on the mill. In the upper right I printed a reference hole. So I can center indicate that and tell the mill that's 12,12, and as long as the vise is on straight, all the drilled holes are in the right spot and I don't have to try to center off the whole fixture.
The print is also a flexture that grips the work. Designed in #freecad print in PLA.
