Senator Warren and Rep. Garcia Introduce the "Stop Ballroom Bribery Act" to root out apparent bribery and corruption involving trump’s ballroom.

Warren: “Americans shouldn’t have to wonder whether President Trump is building a ballroom to facilitate a pay-to-play scheme for political favors. My new bill will put an end to what looks like bribery in plain sight."

The Stop Ballroom Bribery Act would:

Impose pre-donation restrictions. E.g., require approval by Senate-confirmed directors of the National Park Service and Office of Govt Ethics.

Impose post-donation restrictions. E.g., a 2-year restriction on lobbying by donors.

Require transparency. E.g.,
Donors must disclose meetings with the federal govt within 1 year of the donation.

Enable enforcement. E.g., judicial reviews and penalties by state AGs and the DOJ.
