You have to write 1500 lines of JavaScript just to pin an HTML element to the background of an image that's 5760px wide and 2160px high. By defining it in CSS, you can reduce the entire embedded HTML to 500 lines.
If we had moved on to the testing phase with the JavaScript implementation as is, there would have been a ton of bugs, and the performance load would have been terrible. LLMs are a scary thing.
