'Speaker Mike Johnson said he voted for the Jeffrey Epstein disclosure bill Tuesday based on his hope that the Senate would make changes he’s been demanding. Senate Majority Leader John Thune shot that down.

“I talked with the speaker a bit, and we’ve been in consultation obviously with the White House on this for some time,” Thune told reporters. “The conclusion was when it came out of the House 427-1 that, you know, it was going to pass in the Senate.”

NEW: Speaker Johnson tells me he’s “deeply disappointed” the Senate approved the Epstein files bill without making changes.

He said he spoke to Trump about it tonight: “We both have concerns,” Johnson said.

I asked if Trump may veto it: “I’m not saying that. I don’t know.”

When asked about which Democrats Trump claims to be talking to on health policy, White House spokesperson Kush Desai said -
“The President is committed [to] reducing health costs for everyday Americans, and he and the Administration are aggressively working to deliver. We are not going to detail the President’s private conversations, especially to a rag like Politico."

Not one Dem Senator or Rep. mentioned such contact.
