Two roads diverged towards a path no good
Americans hated their choices both
unwilling to do what they should
some chose the one in the pointed hood
addicted to economic growth

History will tell in a future year
that a woman held the better claim
but burdened by their hate and fear
and blinded by the faux veneer
some acted though they were the same

It will be said with shattered pride
of America ages hence
two roads diverged, good people tried
but others chose the unqualified
and that made all of the difference
