@Gargron@mastodon.social We watched a lovely anime film at the weekend - "Kiki's Delivery Service" about a young witch leaving home to find her place in the world.

Her home village looked like villages on the south west coast of the UK whereas the town she moved to was clearly Germanic in appearance. I found the juxtaposition amusing.

When I looked at this picture my first thought was "Germany?" as if to remind me that there are (small) parts of the UK that look Germanic.
