@jded@shark.c00lest-kats-on.ovh they... really don't have to be that way. passkeys are tied to an origin; either a website or an app; yes. but I can just . tell my password manager that the passkeys are valid for this app . like that's no big deal; likewise I can make a passkey valid for multiple websites (if they shared a login system).
and then . the sign in still don't works except in Aliucord which doesn't even let me try :(

@sodiboo@gaysex.cloud Yeeeeeeeeeeeah passkeys can be super jank in implementation like that, Aliucord probably just hasn't figured out how to get them to work in a way Android likes, same with the others, which sucks really but it's kinda what I see everywhere with passkey jank
Tangentially related, did you know that I cannot for the life of me get my Android web browser - Fennec - to work with passkeys? But the website thinks it is working with them, so the button to "enter otp instead" is greyed out? Actually discourages me from using passkeys
