I'm at Usenix Security in Seattle—and it turns out that Worldcon is in the same (massive) building. How I wish that they'd had a cross-registration agreement! (OTOH, it means that the Usenix attendees are not the strangest people wandering around…)

there is a lot of crossover. ;)

i recall a USENIX in SF back in the 90s when the security there started freaking out as USENIX folks were checking in, thinking they'd mistakenly let an SF conference have the hotel. a few USENIX board members checking in with gold cards calmed them down. for a while... :)
