@susankayequinn@wandering.shop @ana@wandering.shop - There's a theme of interconnectedness and interbeing throughout this article that I fully agree with. It is very much in line with the philosophical and religious teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and other Buddhist teachers.

Solarpunk and Engaged Buddhism in particular seem to go hand in hand.

I also see elements solarpunk within Christian Liberation Theology, many neo-pagan approaches, and others.

Apologies, just observations and musings. I've been diving into how various religions, organized or otherwise, helps shape our views as well. which ones align towards colonization and exploitation and which ones align towards interconnectedness and cooperation.

@tinker@infosec.exchange @ana@wandering.shop we had some editorial cuts from the paper that took out a bunch of our religious commentary/discussion, so yeah... we had more of that in there!

I also think it's an interesting and important lens, taking into account people's religious beliefs because they usually
do have a relationship with nature built in (for better or worse) and it's good for people to interrogate that.

@susankayequinn@wandering.shop @ana@wandering.shop - Yeah, I see the references to Indigenous, New Pagan / Witchcraft, etc religions and approaches.

And I fully agree with your second point. Certainly something to dive into.

Cheers to you both for writing this!
