@renatarocha@mstdn.ca, well, I also thought about relationships, but I didn't find how to fit in my comment at that time. ;-)
Indeed, I recognise the paradigm of applying less effort possible in society, and it's lovely when we see the opposite, people investing in real solutions.
@renatarocha@mstdn.ca
@Jener@bolha.one The Ontario government has this tirade against bike lanes
We have some traffic issues and North American conservatives are obsessed with cars
All logical and scientific evidence suggests that designing cities to be less car-centric, building walkable neighbourhoods, bike infrastructure, public transit, is the way to deal with traffic and congestion - plus, makes the population happier and healthier in the long term.
Conservative politicians (and voters) are obsessed with βwar on carβ and they want to remove existing bike lanes, patios that have been installed along main roads for people to enjoy outdoor dining and just hate everything that would make this city better
They are also defunding public health to invest in a private model and people are stupid enough to think that will be good for them. Just look at our southern neighbour.
I hate every time I bump into a conservative and Ontario is full of them.
So yeah. I hate being able to have critical thinking in a society that doesnβt.
