To what extent should we be concerned about services such as https://archive.is/ etc being compromised to serve not the site content that you were looking for, for malicious purposes. Are they resilient (aka funded well) enough to withstand nation state or actors of similar capabilities?

(No need to @ me I know nation states are not peers).

These services will be increasingly relied upon up front and as a secondary source due to the
#AIpocalypse

@nf3xn@mastodon.social archive.org being a noted enemy of the US gov (to my knowledge -- they're at least certainly not buddy-buddy) i trust them (ish)

if archive.org suddenly stops asking for money, that might change tho :P
