This is kind of an open door already.

The question is, are people just going to complain about it while continuing to post on X, or are people going to boycot X and other harmful platforms?

For example this reneweconomy site, features four "social" links. X (with old logo), Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram.

All four of which I have dumped because I feel that being on them, is supporting them, which I do not want.

Exactly, it's like complaining about Donald Trump but then voting for him. I can't take that opinion seriously.
