Let's try a little #UX experiment: On this screenshot highlight the "cancel" action. It's intentionally not in English, to make things interesting.

@MichalBryxi@mastodon.world As I speak French fluently, I'd say ABBRECHEN is close to french "Abroger" (english Abrogate), so I'll pick that one for Cancel. Otherwise, I don't think label disposition, color, or font style here give any clue.
@MichalBryxi@mastodon.world I can read German so I pass this one.
@MichalBryxi@mastodon.world yeah no thatβs wrong. Zeitzone is not like the others, there should be a separator. It should look different. Have a globe icon. Be a drop down selector. Anything but this. Because this is wrong.
Ok so if you click anywhere in the purple area, it will invoke a "cancel" action.
Surprised? Most modals behave like that. And I find it a horrible UX in every single case. I'm clumsy. I miss-click very often. I will lose my progress super easily if the app uses modals.
This interface is even more so unfortunate, because it uses three(!) nested modals. So one unfortunate multi touch means I will have to redo a lot of clicks.

@binford2k@hachyderm.io Very nice catch. I wholeheartedly agree with that observation.
