The most disgusting food I know of is foie gras. I learned to cook working at the local country club. This is a rural county, and the club members were not fancy, but occasionally someone would want some upper crust food for a wedding reception. Somebody ordered foie gras once, and the smell of it was awful. Absolutely vomitous.
I didn't know what it was then, and I wasn't vegetarian yet.
