Letter to my MP:
Dear Mr Martin Rhodes,
The UK national drought group is suggesting that people should "Delete old emails and pictures as data centres require vast amounts of water to cool their systems." [1]
Meanwhile, the government is advocating for "rapid build-out of data centres" as part of its AI growth strategy. [2]

Could you please let me know how the government intends to reconcile the extremely high energy and water usage of data centres for AI with worsening climate change and the water shortages that are facing parts of the UK?
Could you please also let me know if there has been an environment impact assessment done on the pivot to AI?
