@stephanie@ottawa.place if Duolingo or any of the “map” apps are anything to go by with respect to AI, you’ll be just fine for a long time to come - probably until they realize that all this AI hype is overselling and underperforming. Even the translation apps are ok for basic stuff, but if they have to translate legal or complicated documents, not so much. 🙄

@stephanie@ottawa.place I always laugh when any of the map apps tries to pronounce a foreign street name, and it comes out as ridiculous gobbledygook, and Duolingo has become a lot worse with their push to AI.
