I feel you there - had gone to one therapist on former GP recommendation - even though I knew it wasn't in my head. I was in perimenopause for a few years & it started in my early 40s. Doctors were treating me like everything was in my head. I hated being treated like a paranoid woman who was imagining things - when there was serious hormonal changes happening to my body. It took 2 ER visits & going anemic after bleeding for over a month, for doctors to take me seriously. I was then diagnosed with perimenopause. Several years after that, menopause hit. I was prescribed HRTs last year, after hot flashes had increased to point that it was interfering with my daily sleep often.

It should be. Shout it from the rafters! That book made me understand that there was nothing wrong with me and that there was a way to just feel better. If you have a spouse or boyfriend, he should read it too. There are changes that affect sex too, but there are also solutions for that.
