So I didn't see it myself, but I'm being told there's a convo among "anarchist" posters on X in which these "anarchists" are arguing more or less that checks notes public defenders are in it for the money and we don't need them because... checks notes cops do investigations and we trust the police?

Gonna say this once:

There is no test you can take that makes you an official anarchist. Anyone can call themselves anything. But if you ain't ACAB and "the defendant" we ain't on the same team.

is like. every single thing about all of that is fascist as fuck. Destroy what little access to justice for the poor exists while championing those who wield violence for the state? like Jesus Christ. Ridiculous.
