@Viss@mastodon.social Honestly, having it owned by google isn't that bad. I can't think of any other company with the resources to maintain it that wouldn't just immediately enshittify.
Case in point: adblockers work in chrome, and google is primary an advertising company.

B05H@kagihq@mastodon.social @chksome@hachyderm.io @Viss@mastodon.social i’m loving orion on mac os and im genuinely excited about the linux one coming, if it’s even close to as cool as the macos one is, its going to be a big uplift to the linux desktop experience. the emails I appreciate so i don’t forget about the project or have to go looking for updates, so when the release arrives i’ll be there to test.
