As a hiking guide, I spend a lot of time in the Alps. Many of my tours pass by glaciers – or places where glaciers once existed. They are silent witnesses to a transformation that feels unstoppable – yet must not simply be accepted.
That’s why I support the #1400reasonstoact campaign by Protect Our Winters Switzerland. It matters to make these glaciers visible.

I went to Mt Rainier in the nineties and saw a glacier. They said even then that it was melting
