Yay, I have been successful in persuading someone to use Signal messenger when they had previously sent me an invite link to join WhatsApp.
I refused to join WhatsApp on the grounds that I didn't have a long enough life left to read the terms and conditions properly, nor could afford a lawyer to tell me what it said in scribblans speak.
