Various state actors are using deep fakes, AI generated resumes, and other features to get jobs in American companies, and then using vibe coding more or less to keep their roles moving while they carry on other jobs at the same time or steal the company's data. It's remarkably prevalent. Everyone in the HR world is extremely concerned about it, and no one is certain what to do.

@ajn142@infosec.exchange It's more of a cya move honestly. What they're trying to do is leave everything in the realm of personal contacts. People you can be fairly certain that when you're speaking to them electronically they are who you think they are.

Given the state of deep fakes these days, I'm not certain how effective that would be. But I got to admit, they've got to do something.
