Been out on the bicycle before now and had people overtake me while Iām going at 25+ mph through a village, narrowly avoiding myself, traffic islands, oncoming traffic, or all of the above. All to save a few seconds here or there

@helenclayton@mas.to @purplepadma@beige.party @TCMuffin@toot.wales I quite like the setup they have in Singapore, where only a limited number of car permits are issued each year, and you have to demonstrate you have a genuine need for a car. UK seems hell bent on keeping cars as the primary method of transport for most people, to the detriment of the environment, safety, etc. All in the name of growth above all else. Total false economy
