About a year ago, we bought my partner an e-bike that she didn't really want (as well as cycling in general).
We just returned from an overnighter she came up with: a trip to a winery on Salt Spring Island plus some exploring around town. We didn't bike the whole way, which would be around 150 km, but I'm still really impressed!

@Anibyl@social.coop I wonder how many relationships follow this bike arc! I bought an ebike for myself, but it wasn’t quite right for me so then I handed that off to my spouse (who didn’t have a bike at the time) and got a different one for myself and got the teen a bike (not ebike though). And then suddenly we were doing a multi day ride in Japan, spending a car-free spring break biking in Chattanooga, etc. It’s a wholesome trend, I think.
